Based in Los Angeles, A Scent of Scandal, which is owned by the brother and sister team of Ari Solomon and Heather Brancaccio, sells eco-friendly hand-poured 100 percent soy-wax candles in eight-ounce tins.
Our ‘scandals’ contrast a very classy, rustic look with a funny, scandalous association between the name and fragrance.
Examples of earthy fragrances are Morning Wood and Wild Thing; examples of floral fragrances are Rehab and Walk of Shame; examples of fruity fragrances are Bad Seed and Lush; and examples of sweet fragrances are Airhead and Gold Digger. A Scent of Scandal also makes seasonal candles. Thus, there was the candy-corn scented Turning Tricks for Halloween and the cinnamon-scented Hottie for Valentine’s Day.
The wicks are all cotton, and the candles burn between 30 and 35 hours. All of the products are cruelty-free and vegan.
