About a week ago, Dakota, our lab puppy, destroyed my husband’s last two warm hats. He had nothing to wear on his walks in the woods. So, while picking up his daily coffee at Whole Foods, he noted that the store sold Cagoule Fleece hats. These are made from 85% post-consumer recycled fibers obtained from soda bottles and post-industrial waste. Without hesitation, he bought one, which he now adores. He keeps mentioning that it is warm, yet very light in weight.
In addition to a variety of hats, Cagoule Fleece sells neckwear and wrap blankets for adults. For kids, there are hats, scarfs, and a stroller blanket.
Portland’s cool, wet climate is the perfect proving ground for our products, and we personally test everything we make on nearby trails of the biking, hiking, skiing, and snowboarding kind. In short, we love what we do. And, we’re quite sure that once you get your hands on our stuff, you’ll love what we do too.
Cagoule Fleece gives back to the community in a variety of ways.
We donate products to many local fundraisers, usually for schools, nonprofits, the MDA, and local and national ‘green’ organizations. We donate boxes of product to local homeless shelters and women’s homes. We also give our scraps away for free to whomever can use them.
