Happy Herbert’s

As a sixth grader in Brooklyn, New York, Gary Plutchok noted that his fellow classmates tended to have snacks that were either delicious and fattening or nutritious and tasteless. At the time, Gary wondered why snacks could not be both appetizing and healthful. His classmates met his “groundbreaking vision with skepticism and even anger.”

Fast forward. Years later. Gary has created a company that sells close to 40 “fun-to-eat snacks.” Offerings include honey wheat pretzel sticks, organic spelt mini pretzels, organic kumut pretzels, sesame and wild rice snack sticks, popcorn, white cheddar corn curls, corn chips, and oat bran mini pretzels.

And, 10 percent of the company’s pre-tax profits are donated to charities that help needy children around the world.  Since we began this program in 2000, we have donated thousands of dollars to children’s charities…. Happy Herbert’s Food Company strives to spread joy to the world, and there is no better place to start than with the children.
